Crown prep and temporary crown tray
Also called: crown and bridge tray, crown prep setup, temp crown setup
Setup for preparing a tooth for a crown, taking the impression and making a temporary.
On crown day the tooth is numbed and shaped with diamond burs, retraction cord is packed so the edges show, a final impression or scan is taken, and a temporary (provisional) crown is made, trimmed and cemented with temporary cement. Every office's tray list is a little different; this is a common example. Follow your office's tray card.
