Rubber dam punch

Also called: dam punch, hole punch

A plier-style punch with a rotating plate that cuts different-size holes in the dam.

The punch has a sharp point on one arm and a turning plate with holes of different sizes on the other. You choose the hole size for each tooth (bigger for molars, smaller for lower front teeth). Holes must be clean, with no tags or tears.

How to spot it

  • Plier handles with a pointed punch and a round plate of graded holes.

What it is used for

  • Punching the dam before placement.

Safety and care

  • Clean and disinfect or sterilize per the maker's instructions.
