Sterilization records

Also called: sterilization log, spore test log

Keep written proof of every kind of monitoring.

Keep records of mechanical, chemical and biological monitoring for each sterilizer, for as long as your state and local rules require. Records show the sterilizer was working and help find which packs to recall if something fails.

How to spot it

  1. A binder or software log with cycle printouts, spore test results and dates.

What you do

  1. Fill in the log the same day; note failures and what was done.
