Ultrasonic cleaning solution
Also called: ultrasonic solution, general purpose cleaner
A detergent made for the ultrasonic cleaner tank.
Ultrasonic units use a cleaning solution made for that purpose, mixed with water to the line the maker marks. It is a cleaner, not a sterilizer. Some are enzymatic; some also have disinfectant claims.
How to spot it
- A bottle or packet labeled for ultrasonic use, with mixing directions.
What it is used for
- Fill the tank to the fill line, add the measured solution, degas it as the unit maker directs, and change it at least daily or when dirty.
Safety and care
- The solution becomes contaminated; wear utility gloves, mask, eyewear and gown when changing it.
- Use only ultrasonic cleaning solution that the unit maker approves.
