Surgical hand antisepsis
Also called: surgical scrub, surgical hand rub
A more thorough hand prep before oral surgery.
Before surgical procedures, staff use an antimicrobial soap or an alcohol hand rub with persistent activity (it keeps killing germs for a while after you apply it), then put on sterile surgeon's gloves. This keeps germs from growing under the gloves if they tear.
